Reynolds Spring 2022

Parent Curriculum Information – Spring Term 2022

On 8th February, we celebrated Safer Internet Day. We learned that whilst online gaming can be fun, there are things to be aware of. Pupils wrote advice to other children regarding how to deal with issues during online games. They did this for both recipients of unkindness as well offering advice to those who do not use online chat functions in the right way.

Our focus learning power this half term has been the curious cat. We explored what it means to be curious in our learning and recorded our thoughts on the curious cat outline.

One of English units this half term has been the text ‘Everest’ by Alexandra Stewart. We used this text to inspire us to write about a different exploration: The moon landings. Here is an extract of writing from a pupil in the class.

In our recent maths learning, we have been focusing on fractions, decimals and percentages. This has been a challenging unit and the pupils have worked hard to improve their understanding. Being able to convert between the 3 types of fraction has been really useful and you can see an example of this work in the photo.
